LifeWays CEO, Maribeth Leonard, along with the Associate Director of Community Mental Health Association of Michigan, and representatives from four other Community Mental Health Services Programs (CMHSPs) across the State of Michigan, addressed the Senate Committee on Health Policy Wednesday, March 15, 2023, to discuss important issues that CMHSPs face while addressing mental health needs in our State.

From direct care workers, to case managers, to licensed therapists, to psychiatry and nursing. There is not an area within the behavioral health field that is not impacted by workforce challenges at this time. Workforce vacancies impact access to care.”
