This extensive training, which explains the role that adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) have on a person’s lifetime development, provides insight into the screening and therapeutic process for utilizing the ACEs Questionnaire.
Various topics are discussed including, brain development during early childhood and adolescence, the impact of childhood adversity, protective factors, and the importance of building resiliency to combat past trauma.

Kaitlin Burnham, MA, LPC
Kaitlin Burnham, MA, LPC graduated from the University of Toledo in 2010 with a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Clinical Counseling and is a licensed therapist in Ohio and Michigan. She has experience working with children and families as an outpatient clinician, as well as, provided substance abuse treatment to both teens and adults. Working at LifeWays since 2013, Kaitlin has worked as an Access Clinician, completing intake and diagnostic assessments, a Recipient Rights Specialist, conducteding investigations into the legal rights of consumers served, and currently leads as the Clinical Trainer for the LifeWays Training Department, offering an array of trainings topics such as Crisis Intervention, Person-Centered Planning, and Medical Necessity.
