Recent Accreditation puts LifeWays in the top 3% internationally

LifeWays has been awarded the highest level of accreditation by CARF International. The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services, enhancing the lives of persons served worldwide. LifeWays’ accreditation report identifies no “recommendations,” putting the organization in the top 3% worldwide. This accreditation will extend through December 31, 2022.

CARF accreditation is a public seal of trust and commitment to quality based on internationally accepted standards. Achieving this accreditation demonstrates LifeWays’ commitment to exceptional, personalized care. An organization receiving the highest level of CARF accreditation has undergone a detailed peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors, during an on-site visit, its commitment to providing programs and services of the highest quality.

LifeWays’ accreditation included an evaluation to demonstrate compliance of over 4,000 standards in the following areas of service:

  • Assessment and Referral: Mental Health (Adults, Adolescents, and Children)

  • Case Management/Supports Coordination: Mental Health (Adults, Adolescents, and Children)

  • Crisis Intervention: Mental Health (Adults, Adolescents, and Children)

  • Integrated Behavioral Health/Primary Care: Comprehensive Care (Adults)

  • Outpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Adults, Adolescents, and Children)

  • Network

Integrated Behavioral Health and Outpatient Treatment are new accreditations for LifeWays and helps the organization move closer to becoming a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). LifeWays began a renovation in January of 2020 that will include expanded integrated healthcare services and 24/7 crisis services.
