LifeWays Begins Remodel to Expand Integrated Healthcare Center and Crisis Services
A groundbreaking on January 17 celebrated the beginning of a multistage, yearlong renovation to expand integrated healthcare services and 24/7 crisis services at LifeWays Community Mental Health. This renovation was paid for by Jackson County bond.
State of Michigan Launches 2020 Census Website
In preparation for the 2020 Census, the state of Michigan has launched a new website to provide information and resources to Michiganders.
Live as of Tuesday, Jan. 14, the website will be available throughout the census-taking season so residents can have their questions answered, keep up to date on the latest census news and obtain a better understanding about the importance of the census. The website includes a list of frequently asked questions and an interactive map of hard to reach areas, among other things.
Special Thanks To Jackson County for Approving Mental Health Millage
Millage funding in Jackson, Michigan will be used to provide community‐based mental health safety net services not funded by Medicaid or State General Fund. Some of these services include:
Access to Mental Health Treatment for Uninsured/Underinsured
Social Support/Enrichment Services for People with an Intellectual/Developmental Disability
Supports to Jails
Supports to School Systems
Supports to First Responders
Guardianship Services
